But when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers and that Joab the commander of the army was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, “Let me depart, that I may go to my own country.”
Then David slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David.
saying, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child's life are dead.”
Then Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up and struck him down and put him to death. And he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.
And Abner said to David, “I will arise and go and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may reign over all that your heart desires.” So David sent Abner away, and he went in peace.
Then at the break of dawn Samuel called to Saul on the roof, “Up, that I may send you on your way.” So Saul arose, and both he and Samuel went out into the street.
And she said, “According to your words, so be it.” Then she sent them away, and they departed. And she tied the scarlet cord in the window.
And the Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go back to Egypt, for all the men who were seeking your life are dead.”
Then he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them, “Do not quarrel on the way.”
