Then King Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was taskmaster over the forced labor, and all Israel stoned him to death with stones. And King Rehoboam hurried to mount his chariot to flee to Jerusalem.
Ahishar was in charge of the palace; and Adoniram the son of Abda was in charge of the forced labor.
And he sent them to Lebanon, 10,000 a month in shifts. They would be a month in Lebanon and two months at home. Adoniram was in charge of the draft.

But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together at him. Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.
Then the captain with the officers went and brought them, but not by force, for they were afraid of being stoned by the people.
and he who is stout of heart among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day,” declares the Lord.
The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. When a land transgresses, it has many rulers, but with a man of understanding and knowledge, its stability will long continue.
But they conspired against him, and by command of the king they stoned him with stones in the court of the house of the Lord.
Then King Rehoboam sent Hadoram, who was taskmaster over the forced labor, and the people of Israel stoned him to death with stones. And King Rehoboam quickly mounted his chariot to flee to Jerusalem.
He said, “If they have come out for peace, take them alive. Or if they have come out for war, take them alive.” So these went out of the city, the servants of the governors of the districts and the army that followed them. And each struck down his man. The Syrians fled, and Israel pursued them, but Ben-hadad king of Syria escaped on a horse with horsemen.
Then all the congregation said to stone them with stones. But the glory of the Lord appeared at the tent of meeting to all the people of Israel.
So Moses cried to the Lord, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
