First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song. May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Selah
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,
who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,
And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,
to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,
She who is truly a widow, left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day,
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,
“Likewise, when a foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, comes from a far country for your name's sake (for they shall hear of your great name and your mighty hand, and of your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this house, hear in heaven your dwelling place and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to you, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house that I have built is called by your name.
and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you,
But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed,
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.
Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!
Accordingly, we urged Titus that as he had started, so he should complete among you this act of grace.
Then Abraham drew near and said, “Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?” And the Lord said, “If I find at Sodom fifty righteous in the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake.” Abraham answered and said, “Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes.
So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
