and he said, “May God do so to me and more also, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat remains on his shoulders today.”
Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.”
Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.”
When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. There were more than forty who made this conspiracy.

And the officials were enraged at Jeremiah, and they beat him and imprisoned him in the house of Jonathan the secretary, for it had been made a prison. When Jeremiah had come to the dungeon cells and remained there many days,
And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah the son of Imlah, but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but evil.” And Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king say so.”
When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is it you, you troubler of Israel?”
Then King Solomon swore by the Lord, saying, “God do so to me and more also if this word does not cost Adonijah his life!
And say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me and more also, if you are not commander of my army from now on in place of Joab.’”
Then all the people came to persuade David to eat bread while it was yet day. But David swore, saying, “God do so to me and more also, if I taste bread or anything else till the sun goes down!”
God do so to Abner and more also, if I do not accomplish for David what the Lord has sworn to him,
God do so to the enemies of David and more also, if by morning I leave so much as one male of all who belong to him.”
And Saul said, “God do so to me and more also; you shall surely die, Jonathan.”
And Eli said, “What was it that he told you? Do not hide it from me. May God do so to you and more also if you hide anything from me of all that he told you.”
