As Paul was about to be brought into the barracks, he said to the tribune, “May I say something to you?” And he said, “Do you know Greek?
Some in the crowd were shouting one thing, some another. And as he could not learn the facts because of the uproar, he ordered him to be brought into the barracks.
After greeting them, he related one by one the things that God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
But when Paul wished to go in among the crowd, the disciples would not let him.
for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.
and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
