Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.
“In this connection I journeyed to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests. At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, that shone around me and those who journeyed with me.
Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.
“As I was on my way and drew near to Damascus, about noon a great light from heaven suddenly shone around me.
And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.
who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
