And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then, calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.
Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution.
And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them.
And they took the youth away alive, and were not a little comforted.
And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.
And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.
As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her.
The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
The blessing of him who was about to perish came upon me, and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper chamber into the house and delivered him to his mother. And Elijah said, “See, your son lives.”
And they told him, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” And his heart became numb, for he did not believe them.
