The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob: “Surely I will never forget any of their deeds.
The Lord God has sworn by himself, declares the Lord, the God of hosts: “I abhor the pride of Jacob and hate his strongholds, and I will deliver up the city and all that is in it.”
They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah: he will remember their iniquity; he will punish their sins.
As for my sacrificial offerings, they sacrifice meat and eat it, but the Lord does not accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity and punish their sins; they shall return to Egypt.
But they do not consider that I remember all their evil. Now their deeds surround them; they are before my face.
He says in his heart, “God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it.”
And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron; with a point of diamond it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of their altars,
“I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.
He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah
“There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help, through the skies in his majesty. The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, ‘Destroy.’ So Israel lived in safety, Jacob lived alone, in a land of grain and wine, whose heavens drop down dew. Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph! Your enemies shall come fawning to you, and you shall tread upon their backs.”
a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”
Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and whose power is in the skies.
Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘I have noted what Amalek did to Israel in opposing them on the way when they came up out of Egypt. Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”
saying, “A hand upon the throne of the Lord! The Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”
