At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison—
and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.
Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith.
so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ. And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints.
When I came to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ, even though a door was opened for me in the Lord,
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!
that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,
for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
Brothers, pray for us.
And he answered them, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. I urge you the more earnestly to do this in order that I may be restored to you the sooner.
At the same time, prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that through your prayers I will be graciously given to you.
for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance,
May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains,
For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—
I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, so that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
