The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely,
and it is told you and you hear of it, then you shall inquire diligently, and if it is true and certain that such an abomination has been done in Israel,
then you shall inquire and make search and ask diligently. And behold, if it be true and certain that such an abomination has been done among you,
I call to my servant, but he gives me no answer; I must plead with him with my mouth for mercy.
and said to the judges, “Consider what you do, for you judge not for man but for the Lord. He is with you in giving judgment. Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.”
