Then I saw that there is more gain in wisdom than in folly, as there is more gain in light than in darkness.
for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Light is sweet, and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun.
Wisdom is good with an inheritance, an advantage to those who see the sun. For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.
Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness.
Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him. “For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.
But I say that wisdom is better than might, though the poor man's wisdom is despised and his words are not heard.
Wisdom gives strength to the wise man more than ten rulers who are in a city.
How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.
Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.
The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.
