But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and when you go, you shall not go empty,
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.
“And the patriarchs, jealous of Joseph, sold him into Egypt; but God was with him and rescued him out of all his afflictions and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who made him ruler over Egypt and over all his household.
If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.

And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people.
The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master.
At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, “God is with you in all that you do.
Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,
When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
and he put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, in the prison where Joseph was confined.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
My God sent his angel and shut the lions' mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”
He caused them to be pitied by all those who held them captive.
The archers bitterly attacked him, shot at him, and harassed him severely, yet his bow remained unmoved; his arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob (from there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),
to bind his princes at his pleasure and to teach his elders wisdom.
