For who among them has stood in the council of the Lord to see and to hear his word, or who has paid attention to his word and listened?
But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people, and they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their deeds.
“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Who has measured the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel? Whom did he consult, and who made him understand? Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?

“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.
The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.
Have you listened in the council of God? And do you limit wisdom to yourself? What do you know that we do not know? What do you understand that is not clear to us? Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us, older than your father.
