“How often is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out? That their calamity comes upon them? That God distributes pains in his anger?
“Indeed, the light of the wicked is put out, and the flame of his fire does not shine. The light is dark in his tent, and his lamp above him is put out.
but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek,
the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful.
And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.
If one curses his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in utter darkness.
The light of the righteous rejoices, but the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.
