Answer me, if you can; set your words in order before me; take your stand.
If you have any words, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify you. If not, listen to me; be silent, and I will teach you wisdom.”
But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I too am a man.”
These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you.
He has not directed his words against me, and I will not answer him with your speeches.
I gave you my attention, and, behold, there was none among you who refuted Job or who answered his words.
So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
I would lay my case before him and fill my mouth with arguments. I would know what he would answer me and understand what he would say to me.
Behold, I have prepared my case; I know that I shall be in the right.
