Have you an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?
You have a mighty arm; strong is your hand, high your right hand.
After it his voice roars; he thunders with his majestic voice, and he does not restrain the lightnings when his voice is heard. God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.
Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
“Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?
You crushed Rahab like a carcass; you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
My heart became hot within me. As I mused, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue: “O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am! Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather! “And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.
The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over many waters.
“Behold, in this you are not right. I will answer you, for God is greater than man. Why do you contend against him, saying, ‘He will answer none of man's words’?
Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No; he would pay attention to me.
He is wise in heart and mighty in strength —who has hardened himself against him, and succeeded?—
Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power, your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy.
