So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts her mouth.
The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness shuts its mouth.
But the king shall rejoice in God; all who swear by him shall exult, for the mouths of liars will be stopped.
He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.
What will one answer the messengers of the nation? “The Lord has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people find refuge.”
For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.
