The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
There was again a division among the Jews because of these words.
Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them.
So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.”
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked. But others said, “We will hear you again about this.”
When they heard these words, some of the people said, “This really is the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Is the Christ to come from Galilee? Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?” So there was a division among the people over him.
The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?
Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?”
Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?”
