And I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell.’ But you have not obeyed my voice.”
Thus says the Lord: “Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them,
And the Lord says: “Because they have forsaken my law that I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in accord with it,
The Lord made a covenant with them and commanded them, “You shall not fear other gods or bow yourselves to them or serve them or sacrifice to them, but you shall fear the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm. You shall bow yourselves to him, and to him you shall sacrifice. And the statutes and the rules and the law and the commandment that he wrote for you, you shall always be careful to do. You shall not fear other gods, and you shall not forget the covenant that I have made with you. You shall not fear other gods, but you shall fear the Lord your God, and he will deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.”
And they came into the land of Egypt, for they did not obey the voice of the Lord. And they arrived at Tahpanhes.
So Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces and all the people did not obey the voice of the Lord, to remain in the land of Judah.
And I have this day declared it to you, but you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord your God in anything that he sent me to tell you.
Let us lie down in our shame, and let our dishonor cover us. For we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.”
Only acknowledge your guilt, that you rebelled against the Lord your God and scattered your favors among foreigners under every green tree, and that you have not obeyed my voice, declares the Lord.

And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?”
She listens to no voice; she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the Lord; she does not draw near to her God.
I did not listen to the voice of my teachers or incline my ear to my instructors.
So they feared the Lord but also served their own gods, after the manner of the nations from among whom they had been carried away.
