You will pursue them in anger and destroy them from under your heavens, O Lord.”
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
“You have wrapped yourself with anger and pursued us, killing without pity;
Thus shall you say to them: “The gods who did not make the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under the heavens.”
Therefore when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies around you, in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget.
Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?
The heavens are the Lord's heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man.
If I had said, “I will speak thus,” I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
Let their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of the Lord pursuing them!
But the Lord had not said that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, so he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
The Lord will not be willing to forgive him, but rather the anger of the Lord and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and the curses written in this book will settle upon him, and the Lord will blot out his name from under heaven.
And he will give their kings into your hand, and you shall make their name perish from under heaven. No one shall be able to stand against you until you have destroyed them.
