“You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measures of length or weight or quantity.
A full and fair weight you shall have, a full and fair measure you shall have, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
“You shall not have in your bag two kinds of weights, a large and a small.
For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
Hear what the Lord says: Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.
In you they take bribes to shed blood; you take interest and profit and make gain of your neighbors by extortion; but me you have forgotten, declares the Lord God. “Behold, I strike my hand at the dishonest gain that you have made, and at the blood that has been in your midst.
Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.
A just balance and scales are the Lord's; all the weights in the bag are his work.
A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight.

saying, “When will the new moon be over, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may offer wheat for sale, that we may make the ephah small and the shekel great and deal deceitfully with false balances, that we may buy the poor for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals and sell the chaff of the wheat?”
