And he answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way?
And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
When the native people saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer. Though he has escaped from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.”
Is not your evil abundant? There is no end to your iniquities. For you have exacted pledges of your brothers for nothing and stripped the naked of their clothing. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem?
