He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field,
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.
“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son,
He answered, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
And again he said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?
He said therefore, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?
And he said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.” And he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it?
He told them another parable. “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.”
since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.
“Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants.
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path.
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
“Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country.
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls,
And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.
because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel,
And Samson said to them, “Let me now put a riddle to you. If you can tell me what it is, within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothes, but if you cannot tell me what it is, then you shall give me thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothes.” And they said to him, “Put your riddle, that we may hear it.”
“Son of man, propound a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel;
And the word of the Lord will be to them precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little, that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.”
