so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.
Now all the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there would spend their time in nothing except telling or hearing something new.
Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger.

And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.
