And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there.
Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off,
Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.
And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.
And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
And when evening came they went out of the city.
An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” So he left them and departed.
Six days before the Passover, Jesus therefore came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. So they gave a dinner for him there. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those reclining with him at table. Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
When he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples,
Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house.
Then all the people of the surrounding country of the Gerasenes asked him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and returned. The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
Now when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples
Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great crowd followed, from Galilee and Judea
Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,
Even if they bring up children, I will bereave them till none is left. Woe to them when I depart from them!
Be warned, O Jerusalem, lest I turn from you in disgust, lest I make you a desolation, an uninhabited land.”
