May my accusers be clothed with dishonor; may they be wrapped in their own shame as in a cloak!
His enemies I will clothe with shame, but on him his crown will shine.”
Let them be put to shame and disappointed altogether who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me!
Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no more.”
But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble; they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.
Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me, “Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look upon her; now she will be trampled down like the mire of the streets.
And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their lips overwhelm them!
He loved to curse; let curses come upon him! He did not delight in blessing; may it be far from him! He clothed himself with cursing as his coat; may it soak into his body like water, like oil into his bones! May it be like a garment that he wraps around him, like a belt that he puts on every day!
All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment.
