The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens!
To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples.
For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.
All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.
Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?
It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;
Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the coastlands like fine dust.
For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!
“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built!
