The insolent utterly deride me, but I do not turn away from your law.
My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.
O Lord, you have deceived me, and I was deceived; you are stronger than I, and you have prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all the day; everyone mocks me.
Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, but I do not swerve from your testimonies.
Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps departed from your way;
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.
except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me. But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
And the people stood by, watching, but the rulers scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!”

He will not grow faint or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.

Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us, for we have had more than enough of contempt. Our soul has had more than enough of the scorn of those who are at ease, of the contempt of the proud.
The insolent smear me with lies, but with my whole heart I keep your precepts;
I cling to your testimonies, O Lord; let me not be put to shame!
You rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from your commandments.
