A Song of Ascents. To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens!
A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
But my eyes are toward you, O God, my Lord; in you I seek refuge; leave me not defenseless!
My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.
But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.
Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.
A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?
A Song of Ascents. Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord!

A Song of Ascents. Of David. O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth?
A Song of Ascents. Of David. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
