Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.
Your mother was like a vine in a vineyard planted by the water, fruitful and full of branches by reason of abundant water.
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.
For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.
“Joseph is a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a spring; his branches run over the wall.
Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well. Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets? Let them be for yourself alone, and not for strangers with you. Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth,

The Lord once called you ‘a green olive tree, beautiful with good fruit.’ But with the roar of a great tempest he will set fire to it, and its branches will be consumed.
May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace;
Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
