Of David. Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;
He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
for not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them. You are my King, O God; ordain salvation for Jacob!
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
“Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him.
With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.
How could one have chased a thousand, and two have put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had given them up? For their rock is not as our Rock; our enemies are by themselves.
For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?—
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
