Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.
Now the chief priests and the whole council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death, but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward
By this I know that you delight in me: my enemy will not shout in triumph over me.

Malicious witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I do not know.
But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
Let them not say in their hearts, “Aha, our heart's desire!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up.”
Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not further their evil plot, or they will be exalted! Selah
the Lord protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land; you do not give him up to the will of his enemies.
For I said, “Only let them not rejoice over me, who boast against me when my foot slips!”
And Shimei said as he cursed, “Get out, get out, you man of blood, you worthless man! The Lord has avenged on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned, and the Lord has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. See, your evil is on you, for you are a man of blood.”
Now therefore let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is the Lord who has stirred you up against me, may he accept an offering, but if it is men, may they be cursed before the Lord, for they have driven me out this day that I should have no share in the heritage of the Lord, saying, ‘Go, serve other gods.’
Then answered Doeg the Edomite, who stood by the servants of Saul, “I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, and he inquired of the Lord for him and gave him provisions and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.”
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme, and in raging fury against them I persecuted them even to foreign cities.
Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me.
