For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.
For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and we know our iniquities:
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
I confess my iniquity; I am sorry for my sin.
I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. “But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers in their treachery that they committed against me, and also in walking contrary to me, so that I walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies—if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled and they make amends for their iniquity,
Let us lie down in our shame, and let our dishonor cover us. For we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.”
For evils have encompassed me beyond number; my iniquities have overtaken me, and I cannot see; they are more than the hairs of my head; my heart fails me.
He sings before men and says: ‘I sinned and perverted what was right, and it was not repaid to me.
And the Israelites separated themselves from all foreigners and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.
