In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.
saying, “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.
and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”
I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.
I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words.

When my spirit faints within me, you know my way! In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me.
To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me. In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted.
But I call to God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice. He redeems my soul in safety from the battle that I wage, for many are arrayed against me.
In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
