And also pull out some from the bundles for her and leave it for her to glean, and do not rebuke her.”
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
“When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over them again. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow. When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not strip it afterward. For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you.
