So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.
One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!
My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power,
And she named the child Ichabod, saying, “The glory has departed from Israel!” because the ark of God had been captured and because of her father-in-law and her husband. And she said, “The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.”
Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
Lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the Lord!
and delivered his power to captivity, his glory to the hand of the foe.
Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.
until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end. Truly you set them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin.
Your procession is seen, O God, the procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary—
The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress, the plane, and the pine, to beautify the place of my sanctuary, and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
